John H. Geaney, Esq., Prudence M. Higbee, Esq., Christina Adinolfi Shea, Esq. RLaw '08 and Ted Yoa, Esq. RLaw '12 were featured speakers at a Millennium seminar event held on July 16, 2015 at the Holiday Inn & National Conference Center in East Windsor, New Jersey.

Ms. Adinolfi Shea, a Chesterfield resident, represents insurance carriers and employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims at all stages of litigation.  Ms. Adinolfi Shea received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden and her B.A. degree from Villanova University.  Upon law school graduation, Ms. Adinolfi Shea worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Marie E. Lihotz, Appellate Division, State of New Jersey.

Mr. Yoa, a Collingswood resident, focuses his practice in the representation of employers, self-insured companies, and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation defense matters.  He received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, magna cum laude, and his B.A. degree in Psychology, cum laude from The College of New Jersey.  Upon law school graduation, Mr. Yoa worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence DeBello, in the New Jersey Superior Court, Mercer County Vicinage.

Christopher Markos, CLAW 2010 (April 2015) - Christopher was honored at a reception hosted by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania's Prisoner Civil Rights Panel.  He received a certificate of appreciation for his service representing hundreds of prisoners in claims that they were injured as a result of unconstitutional conditions of the Philadelphia Prison System.  Markos is an attorney with the Philadelphia law firm of Willams Cuker Berezofsky.

Palmer has been reappointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich for a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.  The eleven (11) member board is composed of representatives of employer interests, labor interests, and includes experts in the areas of actuarial science, auditing, and investments/securities.  Mr. Palmer will continue to serve the Board as an expert in investments/securities where he will Chair the Board’s Investment Committee.  As Chairman of the Investment Committee, Mr. Palmer will oversee policy creation and implementation for the Bureau’s $25 billion in investment assets.  Mr. Palmer is the Chief Executive Officer of The Joseph Group Capital Management.  A private wealth management firm located in Columbus, Ohio.

Leonard S. Baker, CLAW '73 (October 2013) - Leonard S. Baker  has joined the firm of Greenblatt, Pierce, Engle, Funt & Flores and will serve as the Director of the New Jersey office.  Mr. Baker is recognized as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney by the NJ Supreme Court, and will direct GPEFF's office in Haddonfield where he will oversee all aspects of the firm's New Jersey practice.

Alan S. Goldberger, CLAW '74 (July 2013) - Alan Goldberger, a partner in the Summit, New Jersey law firm of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen and the author of "Sports Officiating:  A Legal Guide," was a featured speaker at the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) Annual Sports Officiating Summit which was held on July 28-30 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Goldberger presented two programs: "I Thought I Was Covered: Assigners, Assignments and Risk" and "Sound Advice: Your Legal Questions Answered."  Attendees included leaders of state high school officiating programs, local association officers, supervisors, assigners, conference administrators and sports officials at all levels. A frequent speaker to groups of sports officials, coaches, athletic administrators, and attorneys nationwide, Alan Goldberger serves as counsel to officiating and sports organizations and insurance carriers in the sports industry.

George W. Lewis, CLAW '74 (August 2013) - George W. Lewis specializes in counseling clients through domestic and foreign trademark matters, carrying on extensive work with regard to trademark applications and litigation before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Early in his career, he was in the corporate counsel office for Warner Communications, which is now Time Warner Inc., tasked with registering and protecting the trademarks for the company's DC Comics and Warner Bros. Looney Tunes brands. He also oversaw the enforcement of DC's Superman trademark and copyright property.
